Valentine’s Day!

Newsflash fellas, she knows the big game is over and Valentine’s Day is this Sunday. Luckily, we’ve got the post game Valentine’s Day strategy covered. So, mark your calendars, call your assistants or get online, and book reservations for an enjoyable, well thought out Valentine’s Day or weekend.

With enough time to prepare, this Valentine’s Day will be less about expecting a Hallmark card reading, chocolate heart eating, rose receiving holiday and more about just taking some time to be in the moment and appreciate that someone special. It’s amazing what a little preparation can do.

Remember, Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be expensive or over the top. It can simply be an exciting way to acknowledge that special someone in your life, or the special people in your life. So scroll down, take a deep breath, and enjoy these helpful tips for the big day! And don’t forget to make the night a cell phone free zone!

In a relationship:

Guys:

Breathe! While it might sound cliché to do chocolate, a few dozen roses, rose peddles, or a nice dinner, it’s a slam dunk. While we all know Valentine’s Day is a colossal day of profits for chocolatiers, florists, hotels and restaurants, it’s okay to think inside the box and stick to the basics. Send roses to her office, make reservations at her favorite restaurant, and have the champagne or green juice chilled and ready to go. Hint… your girl will be less concerned about what you’re giving her and more excited about the time she knows you spent preparing and were actually thinking of her! Last minute will get you into trouble and not in the good Valentine’s way. Women just have a way of vibing this!

Gals:

Gals, while many of us dream of diamond earrings and romantic getaways, if we’re not careful, the only thing we might get is a dose of disappointment. Remember Valentine’s Day is not that serious and if the focus is on love versus diamonds *sigh* then make the day about love! How about turning the tables? Tell your man you have Valentine’s Day covered this year! Send him on a scavenger hunt leading to the evening’s essentials of what you want…dinner, champagne, chocolates and of course green juice! After all, this is LA. Finally, give him a destination to arrive with all the goodies where you may be waiting for him with candles lit wearing something you know he would like. This is a one-way ticket to a stress-free, sparks-filled, memorable evening. You may just get those diamond earrings sooner than you think! *wink wink*

Single:

Guys:

No girlfriend… no problem! Valentine’s Day can simply be about making someone you are thinking about or care about feel special. Send flowers to a close girl friend or a bouquet of roses to your mother, your father, your sister, your brother or to someone you don’t know who may be less fortunate. The holiday of love is just as much about you giving as the person who is receiving. Random acts of kindness even on Valentine’s Day are needed!

Gals:

Cue Beyonce…All the Single ladies! Gals, if you’re single we know that Valentine’s Day can get overwhelming or sad. Why? You can still have a great time and make it count. How? With a group of friends! Get together a few days before Valentine’s Day and bake/decorate cookies for a special friend or a crush. Make it a great night where everyone brings over different cookie dough, and of course champagne and treats for you to eat while baking the cookies. Turn the music up and snap your selfies away… just don’t burn the cookies!

On Valentine’s Day, perhaps start out with a hike at Runyon Canyon or a class at Soul Cycle and then deliver the cookies you were thinking about (with romantic intent or not)! Deliver them by yourself or with your friends. It’s a perfect way to let them know you’re in their thoughts! It may even be the gesture to ignite that spark! After, maybe it’s movie night at a friends house with champs and that green juice!

Valentine’s Day!

We hope you have fun with our suggestions. Let us know if you tried any of them or have any questions on the ideas! With just a little preparation the day can be meaningful and fun, so get the champagne and rose peddles ready and go make that little Cupid in all of us proud!
